New Event: The 2021 Judge Rudolph T. Randa Lecture and Award

The Milwaukee Lawyer's Chapter of the Federalist Society is pleased to announce Judge William C. Griesbach of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin as the winner of the 2021 Judge Rudolph T. Randa Award.

United States Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Dries shall present the award and give the speech entitled, “William Griesbach: A Judge For All Seasons” on October 14, 2021. The event will begin at 12:00 PM and include lunch at the Milwaukee Club. Registrations can be made on the Chapter's Eventbrite Page.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Judge Griesbach received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University in 1976 and a Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 1979. After law school, he clerked for Justice Bruce F. Beilfuss of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Prior to being nominated by President George W. Bust to a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in 2002, Judge Griesbach held roles in both government and private practice, including serving as a staff attorney to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, an assistant district attorney in Brown County, and a judge on the Brown County Circuit Court.

The Chapter is honored to present Judge Griesbach with this award, named in honor of the late Judge Rudolph T. Randa, former Chief Judge to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

The cost to attend the October 14, 2021 event is $20 ($15 for students, teachers, judges and other government employees, clergy, and employees of nonprofits). Lunch will be served at 12:00 PM and the event will follow promptly thereafter. Reservations may be made by visiting the Chapter's Eventbrite Page.
