About the Event
Appointed to Wisconsin’s high court in 2016 by then-governor Scott Walker, Justice Kelly quickly distinguished himself as one of the Court’s most vocal and consistent advocates for textualism and originalism. Justice Kelly made the most of his four-year tenure on the high court, resolving a host of high-profile cases ranging from gun rights to warrantless home inspections and, perhaps most notably, beating the U.S. Supreme Court to the punch in ending judicial deference to administrative agencies at the state level. Chapter President Matthew Fernholz will interview Justice Kelly about his remarkable time on the court and his plans for the future.
Please RSVP here. A Zoom link will be sent out prior to the event.
